During the month of March, the International Woman in Dance Festival takes place every year, in the city of Quito. Various venues, such as the Historic Centre’s squares, the Casa de la Cultura National Theatre and others, come alive with spectacular dance performances and artistic expression. It is hosted by the Casa de la Dance Foundation, and its influence spreads out to numerous nearby cities as well. This festival strives to unite the cultures of the world, by honoring each country’s unique traditions and dance skills.
