The Gastronomic Market Festival is an annual event where all can sample some of Ecuador’s speciality dishes.
Some of the cuisines you can expect to see or taste if you have the stomach for it are: Ceviche Dish – a combination of raw fish and the sour flavour of lime juice; and Yuhuarlocro – potato soup with oregano, sheep’s entrails and peanuts served with tomato, spicy onion and avocado with a sauce made of sheep’s blood.
