Tagle Family from Quito (1840)

Hi! I'm trying to get information on my Tagle ancestors from Quito, Ecuador. Here's what I know: My great-great-great-great-grandfather was Jorge Tagle, from Quito. He was married to an Indian woman (but I don't have her name). Jorge left Ecuador for the the US (New York) some time in the 1840s, with his 9-year-old son, Jose. Jose married and stayed in the US, but his father left NY to return to Ecuador - he was never heard from again.
