Quito mass panic 1949

Hi,

I am hoping to track down anyone living in Quito in 1949, who might be able to recall the events of Feb 12th 1949. A radio play of the War Of The Worlds caused a considerable panic that night.

Hope someone can help with my research.

Regards

john
