Hello everyone,
I'm going to South-America in 6 weeks (for 7 months). I'll fly into Quito where I would like to learn Spanish. So if you know any good, cheap language schools with family stays,PLEASE let me know. If you have any other tips or recomandations I'd like to hear them too. My e-mail address: bugspray_oz@hotmail.com or leave a message on the notice board. Please HELP me, I'm a 20 year old Dutchy who is getting pretty nervous about going there on my own, all alone, so any advice is very welcome!!!! |

Hi Inge, try not to be so nervous about going to Ecuador. On my recent trip to Guayaquil,I must admit it does come off as another realm but as in any situation one must assimilate. Now when it comes to Quito which is known for it's high altitude, you must be ready to pace yourself, according to my family down there in Guayaquil. Another thing to keep in mind is to be very cautoius of people. Since they know you are a foreigner they might want to take advantage of you.In no way am I bias because I am ecuadorian/colombian american I'm simply telling you the truth. Good Luck PREPPY!!!

Hi Preppy and everyone else,
Cheers for your reply! Since those 2 vulcanoes are pretty active I might not stay in Quito for too long. Do you know if there are any (good) language schools in Guyaquil or do you know any other safe (not to close to the lava) city's/towns with language schools? Cheers, Inge |
