Where can i renew a passport

Hi, My wife is ecuadorian and we live in the US, her passport is expired and we plan to visit Ecuador next spring. We live near Seattle and have heard the closest place for her to renew her passport is San Francisco, does anyone know a better way. Thanx

I live in New York and whenever I had to renew my passport I called the Ecuadorian Consulate. You may get the number for the one nearest you by calling the operator or by looking in the yellow pages under Consulates.
