Maybe try reaching her Family.. and tell one of her family members to buy flowers and give it to her from you byt surprise.. then later you payback the money to who ever bought it.. or something like that..

Thank you for replying to my post. Your suggestion though won't work because I don't speak the language and also I never met any family members. This is a new relationship and I'm trying to make it a successful one.

Well then try to learn spanish.... so when she comes back you can talk to her in spanish or even to the her parents in spanish.. Tell her you learned the language for her... she'll take it as a special thing... How long is she gonna be in Ecuador???

She's only staying 3 weeks and 1 week has passed already. For some strange reason which she refuses to speak Spanish when she is in the states.
On another note, can you please tell me how to say in Spanish: I hope Marie's mother has recovered from the "mini" stroke she had. That is the main reason she came to see her mother.
