I'm preparing to study in Ecuador, and in light of Valentines days I want to find out more about relationships in general there. Do young people date casually? Do couples often show public displays of affection? Do you greet people with handshakes/hugs/a kiss on the cheek? What are peoples attitudes toward birthcontrol? Who is included within "family"? Do people see themselves as part of a community? If so, is that community a neighborhood, a city, a region, a national community, or a religious community? Are guys and girls often friends?

I know that's alot of questions, just think about the idea, and tell me what you think!
