For school I am to do an extesive study on a country. At first, I thought I would do Mexico, as I am travelling there for my fourth visit in March. But I have decided to learn about another Spanish speaking country. Ecuador caught my interest because out of all of the Spanish countries I looked at on lonelyplanet.com, ecuador has the largest percent of people who do not represent any religion.
Gracias por su ayudar. |

I can help
Canadiana,
I can help, but what exactly do you need to know? I am glad that my beautiful country cought your attention at lonelyplanet.com, but I can tell you for sure, that that guide is not completely accurate (I have read it myself, and it surelly does not represent what actually Ecuador has to offer for tourists or anyone!). For instance, the data on the religion you mention, is, to say the less, inaccurate. Almost 80% (or more) of ecuadorians are Christian Catholics. Hope this does not diminish your interest in my beautiful (and pretty cool!!) country, which in fact I think is the most peaceful and beautiful from South America. I you post your email, I can surelly help with your study. Kind Regards, JBF |

Ecuadorians are catholic.... well most of them! but from what i have seen, the church was forced on them, and they stay there because of constant fear of being sent to hell. I see people too affraid to do their own thing because of that fear. What do you think?
