Wow again. Nice summary. I am not a date setter but consider this. Since God seems to have operated in periods of 1,000 years: Adam through Noah up to Abraham = approx or perhaps 2,000 years Abraham through to Christ = approx. or perhaps 2,000 years Christ to the Rapture/Tribulation period = approx or perhaps 2,000 years. The millennial rule = 1,000 years Total = 7,000 years the number of completion = 7 So how long to the rapture if the Church age is 2,000 years. When did it begin: at Pentecost Acts 2 which was a few months after our Lord ascended = approx. 28 to 33 AD, (He most likely was born in 4 BC although we are not certain). So let’s think now: we have about 25 to 30 years of time left to make good or maybe a little less as I am 60+ By the way, do you have that sure confidence that you will be raptured and make it to heaven: GOT ETERNAL LIFE? "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son [Jesus Christ] that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." [Jn 3:16] "Whoever believes" = lit., whoever is one who is a believer. i.e., one who expresses a single moment of faith alone in Christ alone being given (on the cross) for you (your sins). "Should not perish" = one who believes in the Son immediately enters a state of never perishing (completed action verb). "But have everlasting life" = the believer immediately begins possession (pres. tense verb) of everlasting life, FOREVER - no matter what (since it is everlasting in duration and depends solely on the promise of God). A MOMENT OF FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE UNTO ETERNAL LIFE FOREVER!!! Note: over 150 passages corroborate this!!! See them all: http://www.biblestudymanuals.net |
