I'm doing a paper comparing the culture of Ecuador to that of the US. I cant seem to find much on their views toward courtship(chaperoned, dancing, free choice), leisure, death(ceremony over dead, etc.), or their views on time(is it a fast paced society?). I need references for this paper, so if anyone knows where I could find this info I would appriciate your help. Thanks!

reply to needs info for school paper
hi, I just logged on for the first time. I am a christian
childrens fund sponsor. My child lives in Ecuador. He is 5 years old and is the youngest of 8 children. From what I know about his family, they are deeply religious, very family oriented, warm & loving people. From letters I've received from his family, I know New Years is special to them - they throw rag dolls into a bonfire...I'm not sure why.....My child likes to play soccer & ride his bicycle. The family is poor, in worldly things, but very rich in other ways. His father is a carpenter - a day laborer. All of his brothers & sisters either attend school or have graduated. I hope this helped a little. I'm not sure what you are looking for. I signed on to learn more about the country - I just know one family & the Project. |

If you still need the info... you can Check the site of the San Francisco de Quito University. site... www.usfq.com in the site you can contact any of the professors from the Sociology department and I know that they will help you in your paper. In any case, if you need to know something else about Ecuador, let me know.
