daily life in Ecuador

What is life like in Ecuador for a typical city-dwelling ecuadorian? It seems like there isn't that much information out there about what everyday life is like, so I hope someone can tell me firsthand. I'm especially interested in what life is like for Ecuadorian teenagers and how it compares with life in the United States. Thanx!

Well...as most western contemporary countries, life in Ecuador is pretty much the same as anywhere else in America (AND America is not only the US!). Specially in the cities. Middle-class teenagers wear mostly jeans, sneakers, go to school, watch TV or cable, hang out at the mall, etc.
