Explore the wonders of Quichinche
Situated at the foot of the northern end of the spectacular Andes Mountains is the small village of Quichinche. This small, populated area is to be found in the Imbabura province of Ecuador. The town itself is nothing to see unless you enjoy association with friendly locals - of which there are plenty. You will also get the opportunity to see somewhat rural life and the everyday application of useful crafts, such as weaving and carving, if you keep your eyes open.
There are quite a large number of good quality hotels and hostels in the Quichinche area – each providing its own level of service and offering its own attractions. Some places specialize in acting as guides for the many scenic mountain hikes that can be found in the surrounding areas. Others offer mountain biking and horseback riding facilities for similar trails. Mostly, however, Quichinche is a great place to go if you just want to get away from it all and be immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to leave the bustle of city life behind and to reconnect mentally and emotionally.
