Andoa potter from the Ecuadorian Amazon painting a mucawa

An Andoa potter from the upper Amazon basin of Ecuador decorating the inside of a mucawa (drinking vessel). Local pigments painted onto the form using brushes made of human hair allow for the delicate line drawings that create numerous plant and animal patterns.
