Galapagos flight - Sprayed for bugs

En route to Baltra airport on the Galapagos Islands from the mainland of Ecuador, it is customary for the flight attendants to open all the overhead bins and walk up and down the aisles while discharging a can of disinfectant spray. We were told it was to minimize the transfer of foreign insects and bugs that might come in on our hand luggage.
