Peace Corps 30-Second Summary [00:37]
As I return from the Peace Corps, I am being asked the obvious but difficult question, "So, how was it?" After observing a few eyes-glazed-over expressions and a couple conspicuous glances down at a smartphone when I detail the improvements my community made to their queso fresco cheese, I decided to prepare this 30-second summary instead. Thanks to the US Peace Corps and to my friends in Ecuador for a very rewarding two years. Gracias a Cuerpo de Paz y mis amigos ecuatorianos por unos dos años muy gratificantes.

Hail Storm in Cuenca Ecuador [00:39]
Earlier today (February 29, 2012) we experienced a significant hail storm here in Cuenca, Ecuador. While hail isn't unheard of, it isn't very common. This is the biggest hail storm we've seen since we've been here. There was thunder and lightening and huge amounts of rain. Sorry for the poor quality video ... was hard to get outside to get good footage.

The World in One Minute: Mt. Cotopaxi, Ecuador [01:03]
Today I embarked on a journey to the stratovolcano Cotopaxi. It's the second highest peak in Ecuador. After a bumpy, two-hour drive, I was ready to rock the mountain. Turns out altitude and I don't mesh, so Cotopaxi and all of it's 19347 ft rocked me. And I was only at 17500 ft.
