II Congreso Internacional de Ética y Turismo de la OMT 1era sesión: El Turismo Consciente para la nueva Era Gloria Guevara, Secretaria de Turismo de México, nos habla sobre la importante contribución que el turismo consciente necesita de cada uno de los países participantes en la cumbre para su desarrollo. Nos explica que para México el turismo representa una actividad económica muy importante. El concepto de empatía aparece en el sentido de que el turismo representa la comprensión los diferentes puntos de vista y la sensibilización con los recursos y las culturas, cuidando y preservando el ambiente. Además se resumen los logros y avances en materia turística alcanzados por México durante el último año. La concertación y la práctica de actividades sustentables, tanto en el ámbito social como ambiental, aparecen como aspectos indispensables al desarrollo del turismo consciente. Para finalizar, la Secretaria de Turismo lanza sus propuestas al resto de participantes de los Congresos, que se resumen en sumar esfuerzos y compartir experiencias para avanzar juntos hacia un turismo más fuerte y más consciente. As avid beer drinkers, we changed only one minor detail for our very own torch relay. Hence, the mission on our trip was clear: The eternal beer may never run out!
