We leave Cotacachi by taxi for a two hour drive headed to Quito Airport where we take a LAN flight direct to Cuenca, a 55 min flight. We leave Quito at 4:50 and arrive Cuenca at 5:50, both airports are built in town with buildings all around the runways. we are staying at the Villa Nova Inn in Cuenca. More on Cuenca later.. Chao

We hired Luis, a local grocery store owner as a guide to show us several local Indian Villages and how they live and work. We saw several artisans practice their craft and several craftsmen create their stores. If you are ever in Cotacachi, look Louis up and ask him to take you on a guided tour of the area. He gets five stars out of five.. Ecuador is truly worth a visit..

We went by taxi from Cotacachi to Chachimbiro to enjoy the thermal hot springs, to bad the water was not very hot, just looked around instead and went back a different way, the scenery while driving was worth the trip
