Community Development Initiative [01:45]
APR Energy is committed to the development of the communities in which we operate. Our aim is to build a close relationship with the residents of those communities in order to better understand and provide for their needs. Our projects are primarily focused on health and education, and most often take place in the neighborhoods surrounding our power plant sites. This video highlights a few of our 2011 initiatives in Haiti, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Botswana.

Tsáchila Achiote painting and dance [02:33]
The University of Wisconsin Whitewater Student Optimist Club traveled to Ecuador for a Service learning project. One of the places visited was the Tsáchila village in the Pacific costal rainforest. The painting of the hair with the crushed achiote plant is one of the characteristics of the group.
