A few days off the motorbike allow me to stretch some limbs. I didn't realise I'd be straining them instead. The great hosts at The Secret Garden Cotopaxi lined up one heck of a hike for me - 4712m is some serious altitude in anyone's book. View from the top floor of the Hostel Chicago where I spent my last night in Ecuador. The city is situated 9200 feet above sea level, and you can tell it walking up the hills of the city. Clouds hanging in between the mountains. Got to cross the Equator heading from Atacames down to Quito.

Video #6 - Hosteria Izhcayluma in Vilcabamba, Ecuador [04:12]
Video taken at the hosteria which only costs $30 US per night (tax was included in the price in all hostals/hosterias I stayed in in Ecuador), an incredibly cheap price for the setting on a hillside, the quality of the finishes in the room, and the fact that a great breakfast is included for the price. A later video will show the view looking down the hill into the city of Vilcabamba. It was great to wake up in the morning, look out the window, and see clouds moving by at eye level.

Video #5 - Vilcabamba, Ecuador - rain on hostal roof [01:01]
The sound of rain on the roof of the Hotal Le Rendez - Vouz. No video because it was in the middle of the night. It sounded like there may have been some hail mixed in with the rain, but I did not get out of bed to find out.
