Baños my first impressions [03:59]
And just a few information about Baños. This city is located 3 1/2 hours south of Quito (distances are here normally measured in driving hours by bus), it's on an altitude of 1.800 meters in a valley at the food of the volcano Tungurahua that erupted just some months ago. Baños is un place of pilgrimage and there are many processions in honor of the "Virgen de Agua Santa" and especially the month of October is all about the virgin and there are processions, fireworks and celebrations every day. The principal source of income is the tourism for both, travelers from Ecuador and all over the world and therefore the city is full of hostels, hotels and travel agencies. But during the week it's a quiet and relaxing place.

Giron Falls + Yunguilla Dry Gulch, Ecuador [04:47]
The Giron Falls are the highest in Ecuador, falling 104 metres and are very impressive. Taken June 29/12 on a cloudy, rainy day. We stopped at the 104m high waterfall of Chorro de Girón, which is surrounded by cloud forest perfect for our short hike. We then go down the road descending in altitude until we reach the subtropical farming area of Yunguilla at 1500m for sugar cane, bananas, coffee, flowers, fruits and other crops. Lunch included at a local restaurant or private farm. Here we wandered through this dry gulch which has interesting geological phenomena happening.

Horseback Riding 3 days Cotopaxi National Park - Gulliver Expeditions - Ecuador best Tours [02:29]
Our three-day horseback riding tour is an impressive and memorable way to experience the famous Cotopaxi National Park. Before beginning our journey, we start with instruction in a safe enclosure with the help of an experienced guide, in order to allow riders to gain confidence with the horses. The first day is spent riding through local farms toward the magnificent Cotopaxi, where we have striking views of Corazon, Ilinizas and Ruminaui. Inside Cotopaxi Park, we make a wide circle around the volcanoes, offering us first-hand views of the flora, fauna and ecosystem at a high altitude. We have the opportunity to see wild horses, llamas, eagles, condors and wild cattle, all of which roam within the Park's boundaries. The first night, we make camp under the stars and cook on an open camp fire. The second day, we ride and visit Lake Limpiopungo in the flatlands of Cotopaxi. This experience is highly recommended for nature lovers wanting to experience the true way of life in the open Andean mountains. Camping on the second night is at the Tambopaxi Hostel, where we pitch tents in the hostel grounds and have access to their facilities. This tour covers 40km each day and is therefore recommended for riders who have some experience.
