Garage sale, kids and beer! [07:06]
Patience is something you need to have when working with the slow internet connection in Ecuador and it took me three days to get my new video uploaded! But finally here is the next edition! It has been another two weeks in Baños and as said in my last video I'm not ready to leave! There's so many reasons for that and maybe you get an idea of that when watching the video! Even being at one place, every day brings new adventures and I'm learning stuff I didn't think of when coming here. And funny is that I had to come Ecuador to get into something which is so typical in my hometown Munich. And again some information to the video. The earnings of the garage sale are used for renovating the school and for buying books for the kids. So it's all spend in favor of the kids, that was worth being the niñero for four hours. And niñero is means nanny to get that clarified as well. I don't know if there's another word for male nannies as well! Hot spring - Papallacta, Ecuador, South America [01:38]
Papallacta is only 1 1/2 hour (55 km) away from Quito, next to Antisana stratovolcano. On the way up to hot springs, we see a spectacular view of the paramo. The spa resort called "Las Termas de Papallacta", offers 8 thermal pools with water temperature from 30 to 45°C and 3 cold water pools with temperature of 2°C.. Papallacta is located at 3 300 meters. On a day without clouds, 5704 metres Antisana stratovolcano is visible; a majestic sight from hot water pool. Open everyday from 6:00 to 21:00 How to get there? By bus take the Quito-Baeza road, than take a 1/2 h walk or take a local taxi. For more information or to reserve lodging call Termas de Papallacta. Fresh trouts from paramo lakes are served in the local restaurants. Personally, I consider this resort one of the nicest. One should never visit Ecuador without bathing in the hot pools of Termas de Papallacta.

Baños my first impressions [03:59]
And just a few information about Baños. This city is located 3 1/2 hours south of Quito (distances are here normally measured in driving hours by bus), it's on an altitude of 1.800 meters in a valley at the food of the volcano Tungurahua that erupted just some months ago. Baños is un place of pilgrimage and there are many processions in honor of the "Virgen de Agua Santa" and especially the month of October is all about the virgin and there are processions, fireworks and celebrations every day. The principal source of income is the tourism for both, travelers from Ecuador and all over the world and therefore the city is full of hostels, hotels and travel agencies. But during the week it's a quiet and relaxing place.
