Beautiful Cartagena-Colombia [02:58]
Cartagena is a beautiful city located on the caribbean coast. It is one of Colombia's main shipping ports. The modern city still retains most of the original walled section dating from the spanish colony era in mint condition.! Great night life and fine dinner are available every day of the week. This video shows the outside of the walled city facing the caribbean on a sunday afternoon during a kite carnival and contest. cartagena is a great place to vacation and relax. A must go..!!

Ecuador 2010 Part 5 [07:53]
Part 5 sees another boat trip where we have drab water-tyrant before heading into the forest with very fleeting glimpses of black-faced antthrush, then chestnut woodpecker, white-necked thrush, possibly a male then female dusky-throated antshrike, and white-crowned manakin. We then have an amazingly cooperative southern nightingale-wren singing out in the open, followed by rufous-tailed xenops, great kiskadee, some butterlies, lunulated antbird, and the enigmatic grey-winged trumpeter. Next day was the final chance to see birds on the boat trip back to the road where we have grey-headed kite, double-toothed kite and greater yellow-headed vulture. While waiting for the bus we just have time for yellow-rumped cacique, white-banded swallow, smooth-billed ani, black-billed thrush, greyish saltator, and finally three hoatzin. We end with a team photo and the obligatory sunset.

Ecuador 2010 Part 3 [06:15]
Part 3 starts at dawn on the Napo River where we see a distant Amazonian umbrellabird followed by an even more distant oriole blackbird. This is the day we returned to Coca where we were to be picked up by a bus and driven a couple of hours to the Shiripuno River, then the 5 hour boat trip downriver to Shiripuno Lodge. There was time for a few beers in Coca where the bar had a tame white-throated toucan and some capuchins. While waiting for the boat we have a plumbeous kite flying overhead. Next morning we found a small snake on the path before coming across a singing musician wren, then the film shows a roosting rufous potoo, olive-backed foliage-gleaner, spotted puffbird, a brief spot-winged antbird, great-billed hermit, golden-green woodpecker and a brief scale-backed antbird. Then it's back to the lodge for lunch and the chance to film some butterflies, which take us to the end of the clip.
