We greet you with the music of our waterfalls and rivers, like the Nangaritza and the Bombuscaro. We greet you with the songs of our birds and our Amazonian forests, of our Lakes of the Compadres in the heights of Podocarpus National Park and from the Condor Biosphere Reserve. Our greeting is carried on the song of the wind and by the high paramo grassland headwaters of the Yacuambi River and its wetlands, its waterfalls and those of the Yacuchingari River. We extend an Intercultural and Plurinational greeting from the Mestizo people, the Puruhaes, the African-Ecuadorians, the Shuar and the Saraguros who live in this Amazonian province. Our greeting goes out in the name of the nine counties and 26 parishes of Zamora Chinchipe, but above all, it comes from the 100000 inhabitants who work here and share this beautiful and wonderful land, full of life, located in the southern Amazonia portion of Ecuador, in South America.

CAYAMBE. Ciudad ubicada en la mitad del mundo se encuentra en las faldas de un imponente nevado cuyas cumbres adornan el paisaje de la serranía ecuatoriana. Con verdes pastizales todo el año y una temperatura promedio de 18 grados centígrados, brinda al turista nacional y extranjero lugares paradisíacos por conocer como es la laguna de San Marcos, La reserva Cayambe Coca, la ascensión al nevado, los paramos. Las personas son muy amables y trabajadoras, que disfrutan de sus fiestas que empiezan el 29 de junio y concluye el seis de agosto con Las Octavas de la parroquia Juan Montalvo. Debemos destacar la corrida de toros de luces y populares, (bailes propios con acompañamiento de guitarras, violines, y coplas cantadas). A lo que se suma una tradición mixta de las famosas octavas que se ha convertido en un autentico carnaval popular en donde comparte la población de indígenas y la mestiza el baile por las calles de la ciudad iniciando desde el parque principal de la ciudad hasta terminar en una de sus parroquias (JUAN MONTALVO).
