The Secret Garden Cotopaxi is a place to relax and enjoy the country side in Ecuador. Located at 3500' near Cotopaxi National Park. This video was taken only a few months after the hostel opened. Many activities there such as, hiking, horse back riding, biking. A great place to down some cold ones (beer).

Located near the main street of Puerto Ayora, it is conveniently accessible while being set apart from the busy activity of the town. Mainao has lovely outdoor open areas within the hotel to wander in and relax. A former tour guide, the owner has utilized his knowledge of tourists needs to thoroughly equip his hotel. From a holiday retreat, Mainao has grown to a hotel with ten rooms three single, three double/matrimonial, two triples, one quadruple and a suite with an ocean view. A continental breakfast is served every morning using organic products from local farms. Originally, the hostel was a house for the owners 2 daughters, Maile and Naori, There were 6 rooms and the idea was to have a place to share holiday times with them. As time passed by, they became more independent and the house grew quiet and empty. This led to the idea of a place to accommodate the Santa Cruz growing tourist population. Making the most of its strategic location, the Mainao offers a comfortable stay, away from the downtown hustle and bustle. Throughout experience as tour guides, have come to understand the tourists expectations in terms of service and infrastructure, and have applied these to the hotel.
