Video #16 - Ecuador - Grocery Store in Small Town Ecuador [01:24]
This is the most well stocked grocery store I found in a small town in Ecuador in my 3 weeks there. There was no name on the front of the store but it is in the middle of San Jose de Chamanga, Ecuador. The man who runs it obviously takes pride in what he does. At the end of the video there are eggs and bulk cheese (covered up in the bowl) on the counter. He did not have meat to sell, that was in the "open air" market shown in Video #1.

Latacunga Fiesta de la Mama Negra Ecuador 2011 [02:38]
Fiesta de la Mama Negra The Fiesta of the Mama Negra, which takes place in the city of Latacunga is one of the most fascinating cultural events in Ecuador. This public celebration of civic pride rivals Brazil's festivals as an emblematic "melting pot" of wildly divergent cultural traditions: Spanish, Incan, Aymaran, Mayan, African, and most recently, gay.

Lyrics - We greet you, Oh Fatherland, a thousand times! Oh Fatherland, Glory be to you! Glory be to you! Thousands arising around you, thousands arising around you. Chorus III He yielded at last the fierce Spanish, And now, oh fatherland, your free existence The noble and magnificent heritage, That gave us the heroism happy: The father's hands we had, No one tries arrancárnosla now Excite our anger or vengeful Wish, foolish or bold, against itself.
