ECUADOR, VOLCÁN PASOCHOA [03:23]
Demoramos más de 8 horas de viaje ascendiendo desde +2800 hasta +3800 metros, desde la entrada de la zona protegida hasta casi la cornisa del cráter del volcán Pasochoa (4200 m). La caminata no sólo fue larga (2 días, con acampada nocturna), sino también salpicada con abundantes lluvias esporádicas de varias horas. Hay que atravezar varios ecosistemas: un extenso bosque de zuro (especie de caña de bambú), un asfixiante "matoral húmedo montano" que se convierte en barrial con la lluvia, un "páramo herbáceo" (pajonal) donde hay pumas, y un "bosque siempreverde montano alto". CUIDADO: uno de los viejos vecinos de la zona, "Segundo", relató como un puma le había asesinado a un potrillo delante suyo. Video editado con CINELERRA en LINUX.
