Los Aymaras son los verdaderos descendientes de la Cultura Tihauanaco - Tiwanaku. Una cultura muy muy antigua que existía en el Altiplano Andino milenios ante de Cristo. Los Aymarás viven todavía en el Sur del Perù, en el norte de Chile y de Argentina, y mas en la Bolivia. Los Mallku,, las Achachillas, los Apus, la Pachamama, Tata Inti Deidades... Bellissima questa interpretazione delle bambine di Camiña, che rievoca l'antica cultura andina. Le ritualità facevano e fanno ancora parte della cultura e della spiritualità di questi popoli. Ultimamente vicino a Puno sul Lago Titicaca, salendo sul Cerro Cutimbo, una possente montagna Sacra, ricca di Chullpas (monumenti funerari andini), ho visitato una grotta con pitture rupestri risalenti a ben 8000 anni fa. Pensate, gli Incas sono apparsi solo 1400 anni dopo Cristo, ma le Ande erano abitate da culture antichissime molto, molto tempo prima. Nei pressi di Juli, sul lago Titicaca è stata rinvenuta una collana d'oro *Jiskairumoko* datata 4000 anni prima di Cristo. Tsáchila Cleansing Ceremony [03:27]
Several University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student Optimist Club members traveled to Ecuador to participate in a number of service learning projects. Part of the experience was, of course, to learn something of the local cultures. A highlight was the visit to an indigenous Tsáchila village in Ecuador's northern coastal rainforest. The Tsáchilas are noted for their unique hairstyle fashioned by mixing oils with the ground seeds of the Achiote plant. The group, according to various sources on the Web, numbers about 2000--but the local shaman says that there are only about 700 native speakers of the Tsáchila language. The spiritual cleansing of individuals by the shaman is a key part of the culture, and we had the opportunity to participate in a cleansing ceremony. The video shows key elements of the ceremonial cleansing process.

Titicaca - Raza Ecuador(Album"Spirit") [14:25]
Lake Titicaca; is a lake located in the Andes on the border of Peru and Bolivia. It sits 3811 m (12500 ft) above sea level, making it the highest commercially navigable lake in the world. By volume of water, it is also the largest lake in South America Lake Maracaibo has a larger surface area, but it is often disregarded because it is directly connected to the sea. The origin of the name Titicaca is unknown. It has been translated as "Rock Puma," as local communities have traditionally interpreted the shape of the lake to be that of a puma hunting a rabbit. "Titicaca" combines words from the local languages Quechua and Aymara. The word is also translated as "Crag of Lead." Locally, the lake goes by several names. Because the southeast quarter of the lake is separate from the main body (connected only by the Strait of Tiquina), the Bolivians call it Lago Huiñaymarca (Quechua: Wiñay Marka) and the larger part Lago Chucuito. In Peru, these smaller and larger parts are referred to as Lago Pequeño and Lago Grande, respectively. The cold sources and winds over the lake give it an average surface temperature of 10 to 14 °C (50 to 57 °F). In the winter (June--September), mixing occurs with the deeper waters, which are always between 10 to 11 °C (50 to 52 °F) Titicaca is notable for a population of people who live on the Uros, a group of 44 or so artificial islands made of floating reeds (totora, a reed that abounds in the shallows of the lake).
