Otavalo, Ecuador: Los Hermanos Pichamba [00:53]
Some raw footage of our shoot in Otavalo at the Nanda Manachi where the Los Hermanos Pichamba performed for our cameras. This was footage from the 2nd camera so it shifts a bit in the middle but hope you enjoy anyway. Music from the band will be featured in our Raw Travel Episode on Ecuador as well.

EcoTrack - FUI Reciclado (Quito, Ecuador) [04:32]
We met our friends from FUI Reciclado last thursday and they told us about their business plan: recycling used materials from the city to create fashion accesories. Very creative, take a look for yourself! Music By Rocola Bacalao (Which is the band where José, from the video, plays trombón). The song is called Sueño Americano. We noticed the grammar mistakes at the start, but we're just too lazy to upload the video again (is taking us around 9 hours to upload each video in YouTube due to slow connections to internet). So we decided to leave it like that. It's all right... right?

Market of Otavalo, Ecuador [06:35]
Otavalo is famous for its textiles. The Saturday market shows the colourful fabrics. Tourism has become the town's main industry and as a result there are many more hotels, hostels, and tour operators than other similarly sized Ecuadorian towns, such as nearby Cayambe. Cotacachi, the center of Ecuador's leather industry, is known for its polished calf skins. Otavaleña women traditionally wear distinctive white embroidered blouses, with flared lace sleeves, and black or dark over skirts, with cream or white under skirts. Long hair is tied back with a 3cm band of woven multi coloured material, often matching the band which is wound several times round their waists. They usually have many strings of gold beads around their necks, and matching tightly wound long strings of coral beads around each wrist. Men wear white trousers, and dark blue ponchos. Otavalo is also known for its Inca-influenced traditional music and musicians. There are many musical groups currently traveling around the world promoting Inca music (sometimes known as Andean New Age). This style of music has had notable commercial success worldwide.
