Ecuador Choco 2009 Part 2 [07:09]
This clip starts on the Mindo-Nono Road with white-capped dipper, powerful woodpecker and Andean cock-of-the-rock. Next we go to the Upper Tandayapa Valley where we have green and blackfruiteater and hook-billed kite before travelling down to Mindo where we see Three-striped warbler, a dragonfly, a squirrel, red-faced spinetail, golden-headed quetzel and common potoo. Next day we start at Tandayapa Lodge where the species are immaculate antbird, white-throated quail-dove, chestnut-capped brushfinch, moving on to their spectacular hummingbird feeders where we see speckled hummingbird, female violet-tailed sylph with female booted rackettail, female booted rackettail with female purple-throated woodstar, sparkling violetear, male booted rackettail, western emerald, green-crowned woodnymph, buff-tailed coronet, Andean emerald, female purple-throated woodstar, gorgeted sunangel, male violet-tailed sylph, brown inca, fawn-breasted brilliant, rufous-tailed hummingbird and finally male purple-throated woodstars with Andean emerald.

Ecuador Choco 2009 Part 5 [07:33]
Part 5 begins near Tundaloma Lodge on the Carondelet Road where we see black-capped pygmy-tyrant, long-tailed tyrant, white-necked puffbird, smooth-billed ani, common potoo, rose-faced parrot, slaty-tailed trogon, white-tailed trogon, female masked tityra. We then return to Tundaloma Lodge where we have a lizard, pied puffbird, maybe masked tityra again, another tyrannulet, golden-hooded tanager, white-bearded manakin and a lizard. Next we go to the nearby Concepcion Road where we see another tityra, scarlet-breasted dacnis, rufous-winged tanager, a dragonfly, chestnut-mandibled toucan, mealy amazon, American pygmy kingfisher, green-and-rufous kingfisher, five-coloured barbet (honest!), a howler monkey and a tropical kingbird. En-route back to the mountains we stop off at Lagarte shrimp farms and see black vulture, black-necked stilt, grey plover, green kingfisher and pearl kite.

Ecuador Choco 2009 Part 7 [07:42]
The final part of the video starts at the Botrosa Road near Canande Lodge and features purple-throated fruitcrow, lemon-rumped tanager, buff-throated saltator, rufous mourner, plain xenops, spotted woodcreeper, barred puffbird, chestnut-mandibled toucan, a bi-coloured antbird that I didn't realise I was filming, and a magnificent spotted antbird. Back at Canande Lodge we have a lizard, white-necked jacobin, blue-grey tanager, red-capped manakin, broad-billed motmot and purple-crowned fairy, before returning to the Botrosa Road for rufous-tailed jacamar, slaty spinetail, black-capped pygmy-tyrant, grey-headed kite. Then we're back at Canande Lodge for green-crowned brilliant, purple-chested hummingbird, white-whiskered hermit, a very, very distant black-tipped cotinga, common tody-flycatcher, grey hawk and a lizard. Finally at the ferry on the way back to Quito we have a pied-billed grebe and shortly after an iguana to end a great trip.

Ecuador Choco 2009 Part 6 [07:16]
This clip starts at the Mirador Rio Blanco where we see orange-bellied euphonia, silver-throated tanager, rufous motmot and orange-billed sparrow before heading to Milpe where we have ornate flycatcher, wedge-billed woodcreeper, spotted woodcreeper, female green thorntail and then female and male green thorntail. Next day we start at Rio Silanche where species are pale-mandibled aracari, a lizard, acdadian flycatcher, blue-chested hummingbird, purple-chested hummingbird and masked water-tyrant. Following a long drive we reach Canande Lodge and the Jocotoco Foundation Canande Reserve where we see howler monkeys, tawny-crested tanager, female then male dot-winged antwren, female green-crowned brilliant, female white-flanked antwren, cinnamon becard, female white-bearded manakin, variable seedeater and yellow-bellied seedeater.

Ecuador ficaram só na imaginação e resolvi subir novamente para as terras altas onde sempre é mais bonito e diferente. Vulcões e cenários de tirar o fôlego começam a aparecer. Algum sufoco com a moto era de se esperar por lá e assim foi. Não só a moto mas eu também adoeci na capital Quito após uma hamburguesa suspeita. Lá conheci um casal de missionários americanos no teleférico e mal sabia eu que no futuro, aquelas pessoas do acaso seriam tão importantes para mim. ... roadmovie motorcycle ...
