So, this weekend Maura's friend Gabbi (Maura is the OT at the hospital) was kind enough to show us around. Saturday morning we went for a hike through the Amazon Jungle. After about 30 minutes we arrived at our destination - a 30 meter high tower, reaching well above the jungle canopy. The first 10 meters were a cinch, the second 10 were nerve-wracking and the next 5 weren't too bad as the ground was hidden by the canopy. At this point the tower begins to sway in the wind causing another jolt of adrenaline. This was too much for me. I wussied out and descended to an old friend - the ground. In the past I have bungee-jumped and sky-dived, but I would have to rate this experience as the scariest experience to date.
